About:
This major rehabilitation has saved an existing affordable senior rental that was in substandard physical condition, as well as adding a new building with 33 units, a community room, and laundry facilities. Design focus was on water conservation and improving open space. Bay Avenue Senior Apartments is an affordable development of 109 units in Capitola, and is across the street from Senior Center, grocery and drug stores. This site offers easy access to public transportation, shopping, medical services, public recreation and parks, job centers and community centers. Thirty-five percent of the units are set aside for seniors who require in-home supportive services.
